Open Mic
Youth on Record Open Mic – A Stage for Young Creatives
Youth on Record’s Open Mic is a free monthly event where young artists can step into the spotlight and share their voice. Whether you’re just starting out or already making waves, this is your chance to perform in front of a live, supportive audience that’s all about building community and celebrating creativity.
Join us on the first Friday of every month from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Youth on Record (1301 W. 10th Avenue, Denver, CO 80204). In-person performer sign-ups start at 4:00 PM, and the show begins at 5:00 PM. There are 14 performance slots available—the first 7 artists take the stage before our featured performer at 6:00 PM, and the remaining 7 go on after. Each performer gets up to 8 minutes to share their music, poetry, or other creative expression.
Every month features a different guest artist—an established creative who brings their talent and story to the stage. These performers come from diverse backgrounds and artistic disciplines, offering inspiration and insight to our community of young creatives.
We’ll have free food and drinks, and friends and family are always welcome—this is a community space for everyone. No pre-registration is required—just show up and sign up.
Be ready to perform anytime during the evening depending on how the show flows.
Open Mic is a family-friendly and inclusive event. To help us keep the space safe and welcoming, we ask all performers to follow a few basic guidelines:
- No excessive profanity
- No lyrics that glorify violence, drug use, or misogyny
- No hate speech or discriminatory language
Come through for a night of creativity, connection, and inspiration—we’d love to see what you’ve got!
