Stephanie is a passionate audio engineer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist from South Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin in 2023 and her graduate studies at the University of Colorado Denver in 2026. While in Austin, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies. After moving to Colorado, she earned a Master of Science in Recording Arts. In Denver, she also completed the Studio Programs Internship with Youth on Record and managed livestreaming and sound for the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra.

Music has driven Stephanie since the age of 5, when she began violin and piano lessons. Her violin playing continued into performing with her middle and high school mariachi bands. In high school band, she played multiple percussion roles, from marching tenor drums on the drumline to marimba during concert season. She continued learning piano by ear and later received more formal training in college. There, she knew she wanted to pursue music further and began her career in audio engineering and music production.

Stephanie’s curiosity about digital music technology drove her graduate thesis. She built a virtual electric guitar instrument from scratch using only her voice. Through extensive research, sample recording, frequency and timbre analysis, and sound design, she transformed simple vowel sounds into a playable electric guitar instrument. Today, she uses her expertise to empower and guide the next generation of musicians at Youth on Record. She helps young artists explore their creative voices, record their music, and bring their vision to life. As a woman in audio, she hopes to inspire other young women to break barriers and challenge industries in which they are underrepresented.
