Youth on Record has always welcomed all. The music we present is no different.

I've had the privilege of watching a couple generations of young people come through Youth on Record's doors. And one of my favorite things about this gen is how completely genre-inclusive they've proven to be.

Maybe it's because they have access to more music than any generation before them. Maybe the algorithms have actually done them a favor. Or maybe young people just aren't all that interested in the old rules about what music is supposed to go together.

Whatever the reason, they seem to love -- or at least appreciate -- all of it. And this week, we're taking a page from their songbooks.

At 16 LIVE on Thursday, we're bringing you Punk vs. Pink Pony Club, a mashup of punk and girls-rule anthems, music that probably wouldn't have shared a bill five years ago.

Then on Saturday, at YOR Fest -- Youth on Record's annual Youth Music Festival -- we're putting the next generation fully in charge. Young artists will be on the stages and working event production, hospitality, media and live sound. They're putting on a rock, metal, pop, folk, and genre-less (or genre-full) show for you! The line-up, design, and vibes are straight from the hearts and minds of Denver teens.

So join us Thursday at 16 LIVE. Join us Saturday at YOR Fest. Better yet, join us for both.

Dance to some songs both inside and outside your setlist. Hear something you already love and something you didn't know you loved yet. And experience the world of music through the eyes of the next generation.

You and your next playlist won't be sorry.
