Mike Miller

Mike is a dedicated educator with 25 years of experience teaching special education, math, and physical education. He has worked across a variety of educational and residential settings, including the Cherry Creek School District, Lookout Mountain Youth Center, and Dahlia Street Youth Center, where his focus has always been on helping students achieve their goals and discover positive outlets for self-expression.

In addition to his work in the classroom, Mike spent 20 years coaching basketball and football. One of his career highlights includes coaching Team Colorado to a gold medal victory in basketball at the Special Olympics. Through coaching, Mike emphasizes teamwork, confidence, discipline, and personal growth.

Mike holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado and earned his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Mesa State College.

Outside of education, Mike has a strong passion for music and is a dedicated supporter of local live music. Growing up in upstate New York, he was influenced by his father, a DJ and radio station owner, which sparked his lifelong connection to music. An avid traveler, Mike has visited nearly 40 countries and enjoys skiing, scuba diving, and cooking in his free time.
