Eight fellows from Cohort 3 have completed the Youth on Record fellowship program, and are competing for awards ranging from $1000 to $2000 to put towards their creative projects and dreams. Their creativity will be on display in fine art and performance on September 6th, 2019 at Denver Art Society.

The show has been dubbed Mixed Meadows. It has been conceived, developed, promoted and curated by the Fellows themselves. Event goers can expect RnB, Hip-Hop, Pop, Alternative, Folk, and Experimental performances. Fellows will curate the set design, and several artists will have work displayed on canvases.

This marks the end of Fellowship Cohort 3. The day after the show, Fellows will make their final pitches for their financial awards. Prospective projects include studio recording plans, album releases, equipment purchases, graphic design and merch investments, and professional travel to build regional and national artist platforms.

The end of this talented cohort of Fellows marks the beginning of an opportunity for a new crop of emerging artists to apply for Cohort 4.

See you at Denver Art Society September 6th!

The Youth on Record Fellowship program is an intensive and comprehensive 10-month program that is designed to bridge the gap between high school and either post-secondary school or a career. The Fellowship program earned an Arts in Society award in 2018 for its role in addressing inequities in Colorado’s creative industries.
