Introducing the Rising Creatives Advisory Group

Youth on Record is excited to announce the launch of our Rising Creatives Advisory Group.

Rising Creatives is a long-term workforce initiative powered by Youth on Record, designed to prepare and place young adults ages 18–25 in careers in music, entertainment, sports, and live events. Colorado’s music and live events industries are booming, and young creatives deserve real access to the training, networks, and paid opportunities so that they can join and eventually lead those industries.

In order to bridge this gap between passion and profession, we’re working directly with the young creatives who are already pursuing careers in these industries – asking them about the challenges or barriers they are facing, the pathways and tools that would be most helpful, and how Youth on Record can best support them and their peers.

The Rising Creatives Advisory Group consists of Ariadnee Ziady, Conrad Mata, Danny Acree, Destino Mondragon, Miah Edwards, Kai Wilson, Lucy Richardson, Regi Worles, Sofia Young,  Sydney Yllanes, and TaTiana Torres – all young creative professionals, with the majority also being Youth on Record alumni.

Each member of the Advisory Group brings a unique perspective, informed by their own lived experience as an artist or creative in the Colorado creative economy. The group includes performing artists and musicians, music educators, actors, videographers and editors, photographers, and arts nonprofit professionals – many of them holding multiple of these identities.

This is a paid, year-long opportunity, with the Advisory Group meeting each month to chart a path for Youth on Record’s workforce development initiatives. These meetings will focus on the many facets of the entertainment and creative industries, including career pathways, industry connections, and branding and visibility, while reimagining the role young people can play as leaders.

Ultimately, the insights and experiences of this Advisory Group will help shape Youth on Record’s Rising Creatives program design and workforce pathways available to their peers. By working together over the next 12 months, we are taking necessary steps toward building a more accessible and inclusive creative economy for Colorado’s youth.
