Take center stage in an energizing, 4-session storytelling workshop for artists aged 14-24, designed to amplify your voice and ignite your creative spark. Co-led by producers from Youth on Record and Colorado Public Radio, this immersive experience will take you on a journey through the art of storytelling.

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED.

In the first three sessions, you'll delve into the intricacies of crafting compelling narratives, honing your skills to develop your very own story. Then, in the fourth session, you’ll step into the spotlight during our finale showcase, where you'll share your story live for our supportive and vibrant community. The final story performances will be recorded and may be released on the media platforms of Youth on Record and CPR.

Important note for participating artists: Participation at all 4 sessions will be expected; each session builds upon the previous session.

Where: Youth on Record's Youth Media Studio, 1301 West 10th Avenue

When: 4 Saturdays: January 20, January 27, February 3, February 10. 12:30-3:30pm. Note: Participation at all 4 sessions will be expected; each session builds upon the previous session.

Who: This workshop is led by Luis Antonio Perez, Colorado Public Radio’s Community Audio Producer for the Audio Innovations Studio; and Ryan Conarro, Youth on Record’s Media Arts Partner Artist and the Director of Creative Media for the University of Denver Prison Arts Initiative.

Cost: None - it’s free! However, participating artists will be asked to commit to attending all 4 sessions.

Ages/Target Audience: Storytellers ages 14 to 24 years old. The ensemble will include up to 10 participating artists total.
