Y.O.R. Sessions Vol. 1

Youth on Record's Album Release Block Party and Community Celebration on Sunday May 15, 2016 will bring together 500+ community members for a day-long outdoor mini-festival complete with live music from Youth on Record students, as well as local and national musicians; poetry readings from Denver's Minor Disturbance; neighborhood tours of the award-winning La Mariposa project; block party activities; food and drinks for the entire family. This is a free community event. All neighbors, Youth on Record supporters, and young people are encouraged to attend.

Food/Beverage:

We have Chuey Fu’s and I-Pie Pizza onsite and they will be donating 10% of their sales back to Youth on Record. Popcorn, Ice Cream and more to be announced!

Activities include:

Listen to the Y.O.R Sessions Vol. 1 Album at our Listening station, record a message in the Vocal Booth, screen printing with Indy Ink (a limited amount of Youth on Record T-Shirts will be given out for FREE) Interactive Painting with our Muralist, sidewalk chalk, hula hoops and a drum circle.

ABOUT THE ALBUM: Presented by KTCL Channel 93.3 and Youth on Record, Y.O.R. Sessions Vol. 1 weaves together emerging, national, global, and local music from exclusive, live tracks that have been recorded in our Youth Media Studio throughout the year. This once-in-a-lifetime compilation will not only introduce relevant and compelling music to the Denver community, but will give our students the opportunity to learn all aspects of the recording arts in the process.
